A modern version of the story of David against Goliath!
A small group of dedicated and culturally diversified workers at the Booth Centre in Ottawa have been on strike for over a month now. They are fighting poverty wages. Their employer is the Salvation Army - an organization that claims to fight poverty. The Salvation Army in Canada has the power and financial capacity to end this strike so that workers can go back to work.

Un petit groupe très diversifié de travailleurs et de travailleuses au Centre Booth de l'Armée du Salut à Ottawa sont en grève depuis plus d'un mois. Leur revendication - un salaire qui leur permettra de nourrir leurs familles sans dépendre des banques alimentaires. L'employeur est l'Armée du Salut - la plus grande organisation non-gouvernementale à offrir des services au Canada - qui s'est donné comme mandat de lutter contre la pauvreté. L'Armée du Salut a le pouvoir et la capacité financière de permettre à ces grévistes de retourner au travail.
